Because a couple of my posts discuss background info on things I reference in other posts, I thought it would be good to have these posts more easily accessible.  So here, you’ll find the post on flame retardants and the various certifications companies can have for ensuring safe products.

Also, I commonly reference the Environmental Working Group’s cleaning and cosmetic databases, where you can search for thousands of products to learn which ones are nontoxic.  If you can’t find your exact product, you can enter the ingredients of the product into the “search” field and learn about each one.  Here are links to those databases:
